We had a special visitor knock on our door that day…one of our former youth from FBC Wolfforth, Kolby Stewart, who got to come home for Christmas before heading back to serving our country. We are so proud of him and so excited that we got to see him.
Avery and Daddy:
We started a tradition last year of having a birthday party for Jesus and this year was really special because Erin’s dad, Eddi found a really neat kit that he ordered through the bookstore that had a great resource book with Scriptures and stories to help remind kids that Christmas is Jesus’ birthday and help them better understand why Jesus came as a baby and ultimately why he died on the cross for us. It was a really neat kit that had a online party with other kids all over the world who were celebrating Jesus’ birthday too! The kids loved it and I loved knowing there are such great resources out there for our kiddos. We also had a “picnic” in the living room (which is one of their favorite things to do) and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus.
We also went out looking at Christmas lights and found one really neat house that had their lights synchronized to music:

We had so much fun at Damon’s staff Christmas party in our pastor’s home. Here are the guys all posing together…(and yes Cory and Drew have on t-shirts that look like Christmas sweaters) That, along with the second picture will give you a glimpse of how close they all are.

We played around with our friend Blaine’s camera the weekend of the Christmas cantata and ummm, well we fell in love with it, so Damon returned the camera he had bought for his Christmas present and got the exact one that Blaine has. We love it and here are just a few of the very first pics we took with it for fun:
